Pushpa 2 The Rule Storyline

The plot of the movie revolves around Pushpa Raj, played by Allu Arjun, who works as a labourer in the black market trade of red sandalwood in the forests that are left over in Tirupati. To say the least, Coolie’s lack of a household name only serves to fuel his desire to live the life of a coolie and take over the world.

While Mangalam Srinu (Sunil) and Dakshayini are waiting at their own businesses, Kondareddy (Ajay Ghosh) decides to join forces with both of them (Anasuya). Pushpa, on the other hand, confronts Mangalam Sreenu, the person who has harmed him at one point.

The strangers then begin thrashing the door with their tools in an attempt to break in, and the family is quick on their feet to secure the door and defend themselves from the perpetrators. However, everything goes for naught when they break in and tie Eric and Andrew to the chairs, leaving the little girl terrified in the back.

The trailer concludes with Leonard speaking on behalf of four strangers, all of whom are filled with guilt and fear. He quotes, "We were called and are united by a common vision, which is now become a command that we cannot ignore." It means they are either given a mission by God or mentally ill. Leonard then explains their mission for being here and how the family has been chosen to make a horrible decision — if they fail, the world will end. The trailer then ends with a woman with her head covered in a white mask being taken hostage.

The question is, what kind of apocalypse will be triggered if the family does not make a decision? And who is the woman held hostage at the end of the trailer? The 1.46-minute teaser of the much-awaited film, Adipurush, was released at a mega event in Ayodhya on Sunday night.

However, it has left netizens upset and disappointed, with many calling out the makers for its VFX and also some of them comparing it to “Pogo”.

But one keyword that is trending more on social media is ‘Raavan’.

Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Shanon and Saif Ali Khan, is a retelling of the Ramayana. Prabhas’ character is termed as Raghav, which is another name for Lord Ram. Saif Ali Khan plays Raavan while Janaki is played by Kriti.

Other than poor VFX, Saif Ali Khan‘s look as Raavan with beard made social media users question if he is playing Raavan or “Babar” or “Alauddin Khilji” in the film.

Joking about the same, one of the social media users wrote, “He (Saif) is looking more like Babar or Aurangzeb or Taimur but certainly not Raavan.”

Another netizen commented, “How is this look of Raavan? Raavan was a Hindu Brahmin from Northern Region.”

Another wrote: “#SaifAliKhan looks like an IsIamic invader than Raavan in #Adipurush?”

“I mean seriously!!! Are they going to change the name of ravan to rizwan?? Who is styling his beard?? Javid Habib?? They have made him look like Alauddin Khilji,” added one user.

The makers of Adipurush, which has been directed by Om Raut, have spent a fortune on the visual effects. The film has reportedly been made on a budget of over 400 crore, most of which has been spent on the VFX but, it seems like the output is far from what the audience was expecting
